Back in early winter we made some phone system changes in an effort to improve quality and efficiency. Based on feedback from patients we recently decided to adjust our phone system again. This change has been receiving positive feedback from all. The following lists the following options you can choose from when making a call to our office:
Option #1 - to hear our message in Portuguese
Option # 2 - if you are a doctor or hospital
Option # 3 - for a sick appointment or urgent medical matter
Option # 4 - Non-urgent appointments or if you have a non-urgent medical question
Option # 5 - if it is a pharmacy, prescription refill request, and/or authorizations
Option # 6 - for billing or a referral to a specialist
Laboratory Updates - What you can expect when having lab work done
The main laboratory that we use will send all labwork to the correct lab based on what your insurance company requires. If the laboratory decides they accept your labwork because they participate with your insurance, you may get an EOB (Explanation of Benefits) from your insurance stating that you owe a deductible or co-insurance for going out-of-network. If you do get an EOB from your insurance, know that an EOB is not a bill. Unless your receive a bill from the lab, you are NOT being billed. If however, you do receive a bill, forward your EOB and bill to Amanda Timcoe (fax 973-912-7275) and she will take care of it for you.
We would like to thank all our patients who participated in our in office patient satisfaction survey. It is definitely our endeavor to provide quality care to all of our patients and your feedback helps us to do that.
